Opt-in forms and banners have gotten a customization overhaul.
And that means you’ll be able to customize the opt-in process to meet the exact needs you’re looking for in an online form - so you can see even better list growth for your SMS.
Here’s how the new “Opt In Forms” work...
1) Access the “Opt In Forms” page.
You can find it under the “Growth” tab.
2) Click “Add Form.”
3) Select your preferred template.
Choose the template design you prefer for your opt-in form (you’ll be able to customize the design later).
4) Configure your form.
Enter a name and slug for your form. The “name” is just for your reference, and the “slug” will be the last part of the direct URL for your opt-in form.
If you’re going to embed your form as a popup on your website, you can also set up an optional variant for running A/B tests of different versions of your form. Give each variant a name and designate what percentage of your audience you’d like to be shown each version.
You can share your form with your audience in one of three ways:
Click “Get QR Code” to generate a QR code that your audience can scan to access the form
Click “Copy Link” to copy the direct link to your form, which you can share with your audience
Click the link at the bottom to generate a code snippet you can embed on your website, to have your form pop up automatically for your site visitors (click the link again after generating the snippet in order to view the code and verify it)
Click “Save & Continue” once you’re doing configuring your form.
5) Customize the form.
Here’s what you can customize on the overall form:
Variant: If you’re running a variant test, you can use this drop-down menu to select which variant you’d like to edit
Show Form: This drop-down menu lets you choose when you’d like the popup to appear (if embedding it on your site) - you can choose...
Immediately: As soon as people land on your site
When visitor is exiting: If the visitor seems to be trying to exit your site
After amount of time: After a period of time that you designate
After visitor scrolls down: After the visitor scrolls down a designated percentage of the page
Field Corners: Select the shape you prefer for the fields on your form
Background Color: Choose a desired color for your form’s background
Background Image: Choose a desired image for your form’s background (optional)
Blocks: Drag and drop different elements and fields into the form
Specific Elements: Click into specific elements and fields in the form preview to edit the content, colors, and design of those elements (hover over the element you’d like to edit and click the blue pencil icon that appears)
Click “Save & Continue” when you’re done customizing.
6) Customize the confirmation notice.
After someone enters their information on your form, they’ll be sent a verification code on their phone and will see a confirmation notice on the form (where they’ll be able to enter the code). You can customize the field corners, background color, background image, and elements that appear on this notice.
Click “Save & Continue” when you’re done customizing.
6) Customize the success notice.
Once your visitor inputs the confirmation code, they’ll see a “success” notice. This can also be customized.
7) Create workflow or publish the form.
Your form is now ready to be published!
Or you can click “Create Workflow” to create an SMS workflow triggered when people sign up via your form.
You can then edit your form at any time from the “Opt-In Forms” page.
